I've heard that this occurs in other cities as well, but have as yet not been able to find any. Essentially, a bunch of people get dressed up as zombies and wander (peacefully) through the streets of Melbourne seeking BRAAAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNNSSSS!!!! If the weather is fine, I plan on taking my camera along to see what I can come up with. If you're in Melbourne on May 19, come along. Whilst I wasn't there, I heard a funny story from a friend of mine who was involved in last years event. Apparently a preacher was standing out the front of St Pauls Cathedral spruiking about the apocolypse and the end of days on the day of the march, when all of a sudden 1000 zombies came staggering around the corner chanting "BRAAAIIINNNSSS!!!". Can you imagine the look on the poor blokes face? I wish I had have been there for that. Cheers, Chris |

Paradise, you made me laugh...~
Yeah we have one of these in Brisbane as well. It's building a bit of momentum but I am pretty sure we don't have 1000 living corpses yet. Those interested here's a link with images and videos. http://www.brisbanezombiewalk.com/gallery/ |

I have heard of these events a few years ago. They sound interesting. I might join one if I ever go to a city that has one, or at least take a video because no one would believe this otherwise. I am pretty sure if such a thing where to happen around where I live, every preacher/minister in the area would mobilize instantly and begin praying and splashing the members of the event with Holy water.

I first heard of this last year. As I'm a PC gamer, my first instinct was to grab a shotgun and head into the city. Unfortunately the police frown upon such activities so I held myself back.

It's funny, but one of the writers that was helping me with the MDC called and asked my wife and I to be extras in a Zombie movie being filmed last Saturday here in Orlando. We were hosting a Toga party that night and couldn't be the "victims" that were required but it would have been fun.
Seems like they film an Indie Zombie Movie here every two months or so. Guess there are lots of makeup artists around trained at Halloween Horror Nights.

Curiously, I recently shot a pilot for a web series, in which I kill people and turn them into zombies.

This has become an interesting phenomena... it was originally created by Thea Munster 6 years ago in Toronto as a day for her friends to get together as Zombies for a picnic at a park. Word got around verrrrry quickly about her gathering and the next year 250 people turned out as Zombies. Now Toronto has around 3800 Zombies walking the downtown streets in early October.
Thea works in both of my shows. Carnival Diablo and The Paranormal Show. We have had the pleasure of eating George Romero's Brainzzzz during his premiere of 'Diary of the Dead' in 2007. Here is pic from the Grande Opening... I am the Zombie Priest on the left and Thea is the female Zombie on the far right. Click here to view attached image.

My enormous workload from Uni prevented me from making it to this. Did anyone else go? There's heaps of photos up on the Facebook page now.
Cheers, Chris |
