I posted this elsewhere , but will post it here also in case it was missed.
I recently purchased a hank of Elite parlor rope from one of the well known U.S. magic suppliers. Paid for , and was invoiced for "Camirand Elite" parlor rope. It arrived in a ziplok bag with a Camirand label inside. IT WAS NOT Camirand Elite parlor rope. Anyone who has ever used Elite would recognize that in a second. I have spoken to Guy (in case they switched providers) described it to him and he has assured me it is not his product. This has a soft cotton filler , Elite does not. The ends fray badly , Elite does not. It is a different weave. And is not as flexible. It is worse than what I practice with. So if you are a user of that quality product , beware. Nala |

To be fair , and although I wasn't very comforted by their response , I am not saying they made "the" switch. But someone obviously did. And it certainly was't Camirand. I will pm it to you.

Why didn't you buy it directly from Camirand?

Normally I would , but I bought a DVD (Protons) and just threw on a hank of rope because the price looked good and I always use it. Alan |
