I would also get both. Why not get Earplugs from Sankey. His DVD that comes with the set of sponge earplugs is really good. It will teach you all the sleights and also has 4 routines on it.

I would not recommend most of Earplugs routines for close-up. I still like Earplugs. |

I really like both of these. But, in the long run, I think that a great sponge ball routine is awesome.

I think you can go farther with sponge balls. Scotch and Soda is a good trick, if you want to do a quick easy trick.
