When doing a Vanishing Bottle Routine, how many of you double bag the paper sack? I do! The reason is because I'm a bit nervous that someone will be able to see "thru" the bag I'm using if it's not double bagged!
I do the Fielding West Routine which changes the bottle to full glass of whatever (wine, coke, juice, etc.) so for me, there's more than just the bottle in the bag. Just curious what your thoughts are on the subject... Christopher

I use a routine similar to what you described. I have my lunch inside a brown paper lunch bag(an apple, sandwich, and both bottles of coke - empty and full). First I pull out the empty bottle, then put it in the bag "carefully" and reproduce a full bottle. After a bunch of yada yada yada, I pull out the empty bottle and set in on the table. Most people know there are two bottles used, so even if the were to see through the bag, it wouldn't weaken the effect. In fact it would strengthen it! Because then I crumple up the bag and toss it out.
Short answer....I use one bag! And you really have nothing to worry about either. |

If it makes you more at ease, why not double bag it?

I use a single bag, but I do prefer a thicker type bag. I have bought some that were very thin that I did not like. The best ones I have I got from a friend of mine that owns a little country service station/grocery store.

Since tote bags are becoming popular in our 'green' society, why not use those? -- many have grocery store logo's on them. You can easily modify them into Chnage Bags to. Check out the Professor's 'Magic Nook' for a method if necessary, or I will be releasing a ShareBook "Change Up" one of these days. Just because the instructions say 'paper bag' ...

I now use 2 bags for my routine. In certain curcumstances depening on the light, it's easy for the specs to see the bottle through the single bag. Using 2 has taken that away and is working great for me. I use the paper bags from supermarkets that customers use to put mushrooms in. I cut the inside one down a bit so it still only looks like a single bag.
I'm having trouble finding bags with flat rectanglur bottoms that make the Fielding West routine much more easier to do. I really like that one. Danny Hustle also does it too with great effect. Once I can locate good bags, I want to do the Fielding West routine as well. JoJo

I found my brown paper bags in the garbage bag section of the store. Plastic bags, and paper bags all down that same isle. They are flat on the bottom and the only way you can see through it is if you have a STRONG light from behind. Only one bag is needed.

I find when you use two bags it is to snug of a fit.
