Yes, good point about restaurants. One of the biggest killers in my repertoire is the good old sucker torn and restored. ALWAYS gets a good reaction.

You know, I LOVE T&R card. One of my favourite plots. But I simply don't do it at restaurants. I used to try to, but my pet routine is a piece by piece which simply is a bit drawn out for walk around, I feel, so I would usually try using a flash restoration, however, in the end it just wasn't worth it to me.
The one reason was the trash. I was always left with a torn card to get rid of. I didn't mind the a card (or even two) being ruined, but having the garbage card to get rid of was just too inconvenient for me. My pocket space is already at a premium, and carrying a bunch of torn cards just get in the way. I know there are routines like Harris' Ultimate Rip-off, which is great, but I just don't find it worth it, unless a spec specifically says, "you ever see the one where they rip . . . " yadda yadda yadda.

Sorry, I meant Sucker Torn and Restored Napkin, from Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. This was one of the first tricks I learned out of that book, and it's great for restaurant gigs. Just grab some paper napkins (assuming your not at one of those fancy cloth napkin places.):)

Honestly for me (sorta kinda off topic), I think that in a table hopping environment, that doing a one cup routine (either chopped or ungimmicked) isn't very exciting and doing a 3 cup routine is too much.
I perform Carl Andrew's "Table Hopping Cups and Balls" routine! It's PERFECT! It's a two cup routine, your final loads are sponge balls which easily compress in your pockets and take up no space. It also give you a great lead in to your sponge ball routine immediately after. Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3OxFkxIUYs

Thanks for the tip, Frank. Is that the one with Cellini on it?

Another option would be to contact Joel with High Caliber Magic. He can custom make one of his uno's to fit your cup. They're pretty cheap.
http://www.hcm.com I think is his website. If not...do a search for High Caliber Magic on Google.
