Axel Hecklau will be lecturing for the Parent Assembly, SAM #1, on Monday, June 22nd, at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, 1425 Madison Avenue at 98th Street.
Axel Hecklau lives in Berlin, Germany. In 2008 he toured with his second lecture all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was the biggest lecture tour in the history of the German Magic Circle ever (43 cities). Axel Hecklau has been in magic for 30 years, is a well known working pro in Germany, and has won 15 magic prizes at 15 magic competitions. Since 2004, he has performed in his own weekly close-up show in Berlin. Highlights of his "Details" lecture include: Newsflash - Torn & Restored Newspaper: Exremely visual and easy to perform Gene Anderson on it: "Brilliant!" Geaton Bloom: "It has torn me up" Video trailer: http://www.axelhecklau.com/viplounge/Vid......lish.htm One Cup An easy cup routine with an "ungimmicked" chop-cup. It explores new possibilities using a different gimmick for more natural movements. Out of This World X-treme Axel Hecklau's version of a classic for extreme table hopping conditions. No table, no side switch, faster, and uses a borrowed shuffled deck Cola Cap Innovative, very visual, practical Cap in Bottle routine. (the "fooler" in the lecture) Spoonaround Pure comedy with a soup spoon in the mouth (the hit of Axel's first Germany lecture tour, "Effective" 2004) Cue Control Axel's proven system to cue music during a show by yourself. It is invisible for the audience and allows the performer complete and independent control - preventing mistakes by unreliable helpers. It makes it possible for solo performers to use music as an important stylistic and dramatic device. ... and many more if the audiance has enough energy When: Monday, June 22, 2009, 7:45 PM Where: Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Seminar Room (Main Floor) or Room 1184, depending on availability, 1425 Madison Avenue, at 98th Street, New York, NY Admission policy: Free to S.A.M.
