Can somebody point me in the right direction for some good top card peeks from a face down deck. Books or dvd's. I'm looking to add a different peek than I am using now for repeat audiences. Maybe not neccesary, but I would like to increase my arsenal.
Thanks! |

There are many peek to pick from.
What do you mean when you said the cards are face down? Are then face down in your hand or on a table or do you want both types of peeks? This is where I feel all mentalist should learn card control just for the fun of it because it will open doors in your thinking and blocking! Ray |

The deck is in my hand dealer grip.
I love doing the research, so I will check out Daryl vol. 3 or 5 Any other good resources? I find it amazing that something so simple like a card peek can inspire such great ideas. The subleties are what is so important. |

A peek that I find some times comes in handy is one where the top card is pushed off the facedown deck by the left thumb and taken by the right hand using only the thumb at one short end and second finger at the other. The remaining fingers are not used . The right hand is held at mid chest level, half a foot in front of you and then rotated so the back of the hand is facing you and the card brought to a vertical position - back facing you and face of card directly in spectators line of sight.
From the specators view point there is no way you can peek the card face and they are correct if you don't perform a very simple thing - The card itself never moves from the position its held and is returned facedown on the deck or handed to the spectator to hold facedown. I like it as there is no real card handling to obtain the peek I picked this up a long time ago - don't remember the source PM me for the thingy bit if interested Andy |

In Tamariz's book Mnemonica there are many peeks. I read the spanish version but suppose the english one is the same.
