Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where I can find the brass pieces that I can use to make a hand turned two piece wand? Everything that I have seen is to large a diameter. It's all made for cue sticks that break down.

I once asked Joe Porper and he told me he machines his own!

PM Eric aka Papasmurf on the Café. He gave someone else on the Café info on where to get these.

I wish I could machine my own hardware. I don't have the equipment. I'll contact Eric.

Hi Nick,
I think that was for something else. I too have been looking for the 2 piece hardware. Eric |

Any new sources for the 2 piece brass fittings?

One thought I've had (but have not yet tried) is to buy gun-cleaning rods. Many of them come in sections that screw together. You could cut these down, only saving the connecting pieces. Then you could insert them into the ends of the wand pieces. You might experiment with embedding these connecting pieces into the wand pieces BEFORE you turn them.

Funny thing is that gun cleaning rods break down to pieces that are longer than wands are to start with. Why do we really need to break down something that's only 12 to 14 inches long in the first place?
