Hi,
I have been working on the mahka tendo fan for a while now, and I am looking forward to possibly perform it in a competition soon. I can perform it comfortably with both hands but my main problem is the final card which must be peeled off with the first and second fingers and I am unable to keep the stack together. To phrase it a bit better, I am having problems doing the mahka tendo fan more than once (doing it, then dropping the cards and doing it again) If anyone has any tips on the handling of the fan it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Matt

This move is freakin hard!!! Where did you learn it from. I usually start with the card that you're describing having difficulty (then your other fingers can help jam it into a stable position)
then to load the next 2 cards just bend the 1st one a lot (the one in between 1st and middle finger). eh, maybe this is an ugly way to accomplish it but, I kind of tried to figure out my own way, and it works... |

Thanks for the advice.
I learned the mahka tendo fan on Michael Ammar's website. Under his downloads it is called like MAJ or Magic Arts Journal. Matt

Does anyone have any suggestions about how much the cards should be bent or anything like that?
Thanks, Matt

Hi,
Thank you for your help (I just printed off the journal) have you considered pm'ing this guy: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=10&23 remember, he built a small gimmick that helped him learn, who knows maybe he can help with your question? it's certainly one of the most original looking productions out there and looks great on stage. |

Dear friend
you can contact me with my e-mail. My suggestion is: 1,practise more. It's difficult trick, and need months to master it. 2,If you have problem to drop one card, why don't you drop all three cards and make the fan again? You can design the routine which is suitable for you.If you can do it once, then drop all three cards, and you return to the begining, and I am sure you can do it twice. All you have to do is to keep the pack which between your thumb and index finger on the very right postion all over the time.
