I have been going to Sandals resorts in Jamaica the past several years. So far I have been to Sandals Ocho Rios and Sandals Dunn River. I am going to Sandals Royal Carribean in a couple months. This brings me to my questions. What are the best all inclusive resorts you have been to? Why did you like them so much?

Some friends just returned from Sandals in Nassau, and they weren't impressed...
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

What about a cruise? You get everything included, meals, room, entertainment, swimming and even transportation! You can even get on board credit to spend on specialty restaurants, at the casino, on souvenirs, etc. The only things you don't get are things like the spa, specialty restaurants, alcohol, specialty coffee and soft drinks, and of course the stores. You can have a great time with what is provided with the standard cruise fare.
A lot of the HUGE ships have lots more to do, bowling, ice skating (yes bowling and skating at sea!) and rock climbing. I went on a cruise to Alaska last year and it was the greatest thing I have ever done. I got to go to 5 different cities in a week. There was all sorts of things to do on board. There was never a moment that I wanted to go back to the room, other than to sleep.

Cruises DO NOT include all you can drink which is why many people prefer inclusive resorts (and similarly, exactly why some prefer cruises).
My favourite inclusives are in Cuba. Good food, booze, sun, beaches, pools, entertainment, cigars, friendly people and really really really inexpensive! Mostly Canadians and Europeans at the resorts but also a fair number of "undercover" Americans who transferred flights in Canada to get to the forbidden land. Cuba will not stamp your passport, so nobody knows you've been. Shhhh!!! |

Probably not what you are looking for, but for the more adventurous spirit this place was great. We spent two weeks in the Amazon rain forest at the lodge.
If you can pull it off in a biker bar without being violated by a corn dog, more power to you.
