Has anyone every got the Curly-Cue Move from P.H.'s AoA series working? I can do a good Le Paul spread but when I tried the CCM I only can get it about half-way, if that, on each try.
Does anyone have any tips and/or advice to get me going on this? Thanks, Sam Edited: Jul 24, 2009 9:12pm Okay so I just posted this and then went to another section of the site only to discovery a similar post was already made. Still please respond because I found nothing that I didn't already know there. Maybe I'll specify my problem... I can't get the cards to pivot right after the "hop." Thanks again, Sam

I saw it on the Jeff McBride tape as well. He really teaches you how to do it in an easy to follow way.

Jeff McBride " The Art Of Card Manipulation " Vol.3. David Blaine does a variation, of the move, But he uses two hands.

Learning the LePaul spread makes it more difficult to do the Curley Q move and vice versa. The reason is that the cards are released off a different finger. To make a LePaul spread come out nicely, the cards are sprung off the fingers with most of the work being done by the forefinger. To make a nice Curley Q, most of the work is done by the little finger. The fact that there's a little more drag at the forefinger and the cards are released off the little finger cause the cards to curl around.
I hope this helps, Dave |

Also, remember to press down with your left thumb (if you are left handed). The pressure used depends on your touch but some experimentation, and ALOT of bent decks will reveal it.

David Blaine does a varation of the move on his Street magic special. Tt's at the introduction, where he's doing flourishes. He does it a couple of times. He uses his left little finger to help spread the cards.

Hey Sam
Just posted two different angles of the move on youtube; maybe they'll help you with the positioning of the fingers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd_wep6KyBg Andreas |

Thanks for the video! It's good to see it... a little fast though to see your exact movements.
Does anyone have a video of David Blaine doing it?
