Reading a recent post about colours for drawing duplications, I remembered an effect by Max Maven called Huplication and I dug this out and am inspired to start using my variation on it again. With Maven having a wealth of material, does anyone have any favourites in their working or past repertoires which may be worth revisiting?

Everything by Max is brilliant.
One effect I use all the time is Bwave. Is simple, easy to do and powerful. I use it all the time in my close up set. Peace & Love Matt |

His "Videomind" series is fantastic too. I've learned a lot of good effects on these DVD's.

I loved his book test from the Video Mind series and have used it on several occasions. Also, Desire from Prism is really clever.

Some of his stuff in SwamiMantra-(ed Sam Dalal)-- is almost at par with some of the sneakiest effects fron Jinx.

I just picked up 'Videomind' volume 1 yesterday and loved it. The 'Autome' book test is neat, and 'Zenvelopes' reeeally appeals to me. Very cunning. And of course the classic 'Kurotsoke' is on there too.
Quite an enjoyable video to watch, too. I love the beginning of the explanations segment where Max won't start til he's handed a briefcase full of money. |

Yes it is very good stuff. I'll be adding the book test to the ones I do already. I found that to be pretty interesting how that works out. BTW all 3 volumes are great.

Mr. Maven's fantastic effect from Video Mind called, "Divine Write", is a favourite. I did not like the Annemann-style impression device used so I came up with a much better way of converting a card box. It is done in about 3 minutes and leaves it examinable inside and out, before and after the impression. Max has been very inspiring over the years.

I agree. I think Mockingbird and Zenvelope are 2 great applications of Gilbreath Principle.
