Does anyone have the Dove Vanish Table? I believe this is from Mak Magic and is a red box sitting on top of a skirted table. I am mainly interested in the quality and how well it is put together and works. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm looking at the Daytona one too but it's a lot more expensive than the Mak Magic one. I believe the method used is the same for both so I'm trying to determine why there is such a difference in price. I would rather buy the cheaper one as long as the quality is good.

If you don't mind building it yourself, you can make one for about $50 following the directions in Jim Gerrish's Hardboard and Duct Tape Book 2 "Tear-Apart and Take Apart Dove Vanishes" (on my site).
The quality is something YOU put into it when you are constructing the prop. You can make one from cardboard just to learn how it is done, work out the procedures and the angles, and then either build a good one yourself from fine wood... or turn your prototype pieces over to a good local carpenter/cabinet maker. He doesn't even have to know what he is making; just duplicate your prototype pieces in wood.

Thanks for the suggestion but making things myself is something I am not good at. Shop was never my strong point in school and on top of that I hated it. I would rather pay someone so that it comes out looking right.
