Store it upside-down in a sealed bucket of water.

I mean during the show. Let's say it's ready to leak water. Where do you put it and how do you keep it from leaking?

I was thinking about having a price tag (scotch tape) on it which you could peel off innocently enough.

But there have to be some good ideas from those that use one regularly.
I could keep it standing up inside an empty bucket, reach in with both hands, take off the price tag as it comes out of the bucket?

Last time I just kept it submerged in a big container of water.

I used one a few years ago and also kept it in a bucket of water. That way when I pulled it out if it drips just a little no one notices. I'd be interested in hearing what others do as well as which funnels would be the most recomended as this is something I'm thinking of adding to next year's show...

--> My advice.

Also, I use clear scotch tape on the top hole, with one end folded over to make it easy to peel back. I transport the prop in an ice cream pail, in the upside down position, with the lid on it.

The funnel with the twist-nozzle can be sat upside down no problem. But I know some have said theirs was unreliable and leaky. Mine is fine.

I think I have an automatic funnel around here somewhere. I'll begin looking.

I have one and it still leaks! I just keep it in a plastic beaker with tissue paper at the bottom until it's ready to be used.

Mine does not leak a drop. I wonder if I just got a good one, or if you have a bad one?

I searched the treads, but could not find where you can get the type the twists.
Does that one hold more than the Automatic Funnel?

I got an automatic one recently and noticed the handle was mis-aligned, causing some leaky problems. I sent it back and got a new one that works perfectly. Thanks to Ronjo for handling this. Also, I bought a somewhat rare item, the confetti bucket. the little one (ickle pickle) works great, I am using it with the funnel. The JUMBO bucket was too big for me, but would hold a lot of water.

Frank, in the past, when I have used mine, I would place a small piece of magicians wax over the hole and it kept it from leaking. I have tried scotch tape, but the moisture would break the seal.

This may help, but remember not to get the wax inside the funnel.

I use wax as well and find it's ok for up to a week depending on the climate. Now I fill it at home, invert it in a sealed tub and take it to the venue.
