Yes that's true . when I bought my magic hands tray I paid around 150$ dollars fr it and you only need around 5 dollars to construct it but your paying for the secret not the apparatus in the end
I could charge 100 dollars for instructions on a coin vanish if I want { and if its really good . people will be willing to pay the money for it } but in the end they will still be buying the secret cos the apparatus will be a coin and their hands

Ive owned the elevator for about 6 months and still do not feel comfortable performing it due to the set up and the noise. I had also heard talk that shortly after it was released a second edition of the manuscript came out with alternate ideas...Peter if you read this can you let me know how I can get my hands on one of those.....it may solve some of my problems.
Thanks |

Okay, I think the elevator rocks!!!
I was at my friends house and am always doing effects for her son. First I did the 'wild levitation' with my coat and my (how do I say this)over-sized gimmick that I upgraded from a site on the net(if you know the method than you know what I mean). Than I did the King's Rising as I said hey I can even do it from the side Also since I still had my 'wild' gimmick in place it made the KR so smooth and easy. By this time this kid is going nuts. So than I put my coat back on and said I can even do it without my coat(and I did the elevator). David, I think you insights are great. I don't announce that I'm going to levitate--I just do it(my co-workers are 'intense' and would love to bust me--so I never do 'it' when they ask me to levitate. So would I have bought it if I'd seen the method and knew I could build my own as precisely as the original??? Yes, I would have bought it(and also maintain my eligibility to buy the manuscript and any newer perfomance ideas Peter might bring to market). take care, Jay |

I like it, but it will take some practice.

In that sense, you would be stealing, and thus become a thief. #be setting a bad example of ethics in magic that others might see and emulate thus perpetuating the problem. In short, if you want Peter's invention, then be honest, come clean, and buy it from Peter. Quote:

I ADORE the Elevator, but hasn't used it yet. I am still practicing. But my balance is getting better all the time. Just keep practicing. Nobody knew how to do the pass right from the very first time. It takes a very long time of practice. It's the same here.

I applaud your determination to stick with it and P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E!!!
You obviously have the patience to perfect it before presenting it to an audience. Th that I say "BRAVO!" Rock on, my brother magician, rock on!

Can you walk around with the gimmick in place? Is it something you can wear all day, or do you need to "go away and prepare" for 5 mins before performing?
