I have also found that whatever color is left, they still buy it. But if there's a choice, the girls like pink, while the boys often want green or orange. But blue sells well, too.

In fact, even when I have lots of colors, I only put out three at a time. Otherwise, the kids have a hard time deciding what color they want (too many choices!) and it slows things down.

Also, when a kid just can't make up his/her mind between 2 or 3 colors, I just pick one and say, "You know, the purple ones are VERY friendly!" And 9 times out of 10, they'll take that one so you can move on to the next sale. SETH

I say "The yellow ones are faster" same idea,the kid will pick the yellow.
