I was wondering if anyone has seen, used, or owns one of their Head Choppers and what they think of it? I'm interested particularly in the quality of the prop and its special "workings" (who isn't when buying eh???) Also, does the blade look and sound formidable when used? Finally, can one slice a cabbage head and some carrots to "prove" the device to the masses?
I know the guys that own the Owens will say "it isn't an Owens" etc. but with several illusions being built as I type, THAT's not an option right now. Just looking for a good one that I won't want to sell next month...... Thanks for any input! Christian |

The chopper I am familiar with is Abbott's Chines Chopper. You can cut all the vegetables you want and still chop your assistants head off. It can be done surrounded and the model I had was steel blades.
Lester Lake Guillotine is another that is very versatile. I believe plans are available for this from a couple different sources. |

Thanks wmhegbli!
Someone's got to have this chopper?!?!? It's a nice rustic looking scheme I think and I really would like to know if it works the same as Abbott's. Anyone??? Thanks for looking! |

Alan- Thanks for the info!
I bought the Folsom Chopper after all. He had a GREAT deal and agreed to make a padded case for it for a VERY reasonable price. He did this in just two days and shipped it to me. It arrived at my door just 2 days later after that. This is a beautiful prop that I am most pleased with. The blade stand is just as well made as the stock/chopper. Anyone thinking of buying a chopper that can't spend 3K should really consider Don's. I think it will provide several years of service and entertainment! |
