Hello Viewers,
Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the book? Thank you in advance. Ed

It is OK. Actually, I wish I hadn't bought it. Maybe it is just not for me, but most of the levitations seemed a little bit impractical and not very impromptu. If you do stage work, or something where you have the materials needed available, it could be worth your time. For example, "floating on the edge" is a decent enough impromptu-style levitation, but i don't particularly care for "broom flight" it just looks to cheesy to me. of course, its only my opinion.

Well, for me I think is a good investment due to that the Booklet contain some of the creative thinking of Andrew Mayne ideas. For just less that $20 and you can get that booklet for some great levitation illusion.
Try it out !!! Symmatrix

I must admit, I have used "edge" from the book to GREAT effect on an escalator...

I think that it is a good little book, seeing that if you don't get any thing from the effects, you will at least learn something from the way Andrew thinks, like all his material. The edge levetation is probably the best version in his booklet. I think it is a good book just as a reference point, and to get you thinking outside the box.

"BroomFlight" is worth the price of the book. Anyone who says its cheesey has not seen it done.

I really like his Shock FX DVD. A couple of items seem "cheesey" but I only think it's because he talking to all ages in his DVDs. So he includes little tricks and advanced ones. I saw his Broomflight on his Wizard School DVD. Looked good, I thought.

I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. When I said Broom Flight was cheesy, I meant that in the context of my performing style. Not every magic trick or effect is for every magician. By the way, in general, I love Mayne's stuff.

Touching Sky is great, if you're looking for some levitations that are nearly impromptu (not all of them).
Obviously if you're a close-up performer you won't get much out of it. I have watched Andrew perform his Broomflight on his Wizard School DVD, and it looked amazing! And although I know the method, it still took me quite a while to comprehend exactly how he was doing it. It looked that good. |

I have to say Broom Flight and the stage levitation (forget the name) are just the best.

It's pretty good. I prefer the Elevator. The stage levitation looks good, and the Broom Flight looks fun too. I do most of my magic at school, so I have not found a practical use for the levitations yet. But who knows? I may use the Broom fFight with my appearing broom.

I agree that the booklet is OK. I just recieved mine today. My kids loved Broom Flight. It's worth the money, even though you might already know how they are done. Get a copy if you can.

Broom flight: why do you need a towel? Just like wild levitation, this takes away from the overall effect. For kids it is OK, but any intelligent adult can see through it in a second.
