Hi
Can you give me your impression about the mak coin ladder ? it is the same , by the way, sold on MAgicdepot. Do you know if the working is good . No need to say me : ''buy an owen or a proline etc''... just need to need if it works good, and if we can do the quick move where a lot of coins fall one after one. In one work, it this cheaper model is convincing. By the quick video on magicdepot, it seems deceptive. thanks |

Seen a version of this that Bob Little said came from Italy. It is a self contained unit. All the coins are there for you to produce easily at your reach. You have to stand behind the unit. No it does not have an automatic cascade effect. You create the cascade by reaching into the air and catching handfuls of coins and dropping them yourself.
If you give some reference so I would not have to go looking all over the web, it would be nice. Could not find it on Magic depot. The only thing I did not care for in this model was it needs to set on a table and it is very wide and narrow. It does do the job well. It does require practice to get the timing down. It cannot be done surrounded. |

Thank you for produceing the correct address for Magic Depot. http://www.magic.org/store/product_info.php?products_id=1787
Both items are from India. One is made by Tayade, who has been supplying excellent magic items since the 1970's I believe. His props were made very well. The Mak Magic coin ladder is also from India, but by a different Indian Manufacturer. I would go with the Tayade over the Mak Magic item. As they do not necessaryly handle well made items. They are just supplying items without much thought on behalf of the purchaser. Here is another model you may consider from Abbott's Magic: http://www.magicgettogether.com/mm5/merc......ry_Code= Finally, I would encourage you to contact Bob Little of Guaranteed Magic for the one from Italy, it was all metal and had about 4 coin holder built into it. You can contact him here: http://www.sam4.org/MAGICIAN/BobLittle/index.html |

I have the Tayade ladder and it works great. Everything is self contained and it also allows for a dump of two massive coin loads as a finale. The unit breaks down for transport and comes in a nice padded case. Although the ladder is fairly easy to use, the true "magic" will really come from your acting ability and the rhythm of your performance.

Thanks Kent Wong. It seems , by the photo, that the MAK and the Tayade are the same prop. only the colour (red for the Tayade, blue for the MAk); but exact copy.
But I can't know if it is the same working but I suppose ;and I suppose indian builder knows each others... 1) When you say , Kent, that it allows for a dump of two massive coins loads as a finale : explain ? you can take secretly 2 big load, just after continous production of pieces, that you let fall in the same time ? Right ? It is easy to catch them ? 2) In Italy , there is a model far superior but more than 650 euros; some models have a clock-system to release the coins and are automatic. But the Tayade/mak model is very very cheaper. And not sure that it is a lot worse in working (but not so good in looking) . A new paint, and let's go ...? 3) You can use half dollard ? Enough big for big stage ? thanks |

I always wanted to combine the Misers Dream with this prop. It could be a good finale. I'm still in search for a good coin ladder. I guess the best would be visible on stage and make a lot of noise. What material is the best to make the noise? I was thinking of a xylophone.
