Does anybody know the inventor of that trick? It does not use a gimmick. It is called "Ring Thing". Please PM or post if you do.

The inventor of the effect called Ring Thing is Jeff Sheridan, I believe. You can buy the effect from Meir Yedid at MyMagic.com for $10.

I believe there are two effects called Ring Thing. One is on Garrett's video and involves a finger ring while the other involves a small harness ring and shoelace. I have the second effect but haven't used it much. I'm willing to trade it if anyone is interested.

I just sold mine! There are too many ways to do ring on string using ungimmicked items.
It's not the size of the wand,
but the magic in it ! |

Ring Thing by Garret Thomas is where a finger ring visually jumps onto your finger. You take it off your finger and it pops right back on. It is a pretty neat illusion, real eye candy. It is on his video. He also sells a booklet explaining the trick at his lectures.
