Can anyone recall the particular type of paper ( I think it was used in science labs) that Phoa Yan Tiong recommends for his torn and restored tissue effect? (Note that I am NOT looking for the 9lb onion skin for the snowstorm)

It was written up in his book "The Seasons"...I just no longer have a copy.
I think it was some sort of blotting paper....

I work in a lab and the only types of paper I know of is bilbous paper and lens paper
bilbous being thick and absorbent and lens paper being thin and tissue like. Hope that helps I'm not familiar this that effect

There used to be many types of paper that are no longer made. I used to make spring flowers with a 100% rag paper with a cockle finish. It looked like onionskin.

I am not sure about this effect. I do know the rag paper is better for folding and such.
