I have a set of ZANADU Bamboo Chinese Sticks. The inner tubes need replaced. I took them out. They're made of clear plastic. I thought they were supposed to be teflon.
Anyone have ideas on how to replace them? What kind of tube to buy and where to get it? Also the strings. Where to find cord like that? Thank you for your help. David |

Packaging supply companies and large craft stores would be good places to start looking. Although I use an old MAK set, I restrung mine with braid that is used with plastic canvas to make crafts. Looks and works great!

MAK doesn't do any manufacturing in this country anymore, that I'm aware of, so they might charge an arm and a leg for it.
Here's a source that I found: http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=141& |

Pet shops sell clear hard plastic tubes of different diameters for aquariums.

You can go to any plastics supplier locally and buy acrylic tubing in almost any diameter down to 1/4 inch and it should work fine.
Alternately, just buy a plastic mylar report cover at a stationery store or office supply. ( about 98 cents!) It's usually one or two mils thick and can easily be cut and rolled into the requisite diameter and then slipped into the outer tube. It's really as good as what was there originally and should last for years.
