Just wondering if anyone knows what the trick is called where you can make sparkles shoot out of your hands? the guy on the TV series "how I met your mother" does it all the time. much appreciated friends!

I think there is one called the "Funken Ring" or something like that.

Do a Google search on Jim Pace and the stuff he sells. He has something that will approximate this. I own several of his products, and they are very cool !

You should use that sparkle powder sparingly. It likes to burn pinholes in fabric.

Funkenring is fun whenever you grap a microphone.
Not the most durable items. I reinforce mine with solder and add a gaffer tape flap to hold the key. Dan Sylvester makes the best sparks. Don't know if he sells the effect though.

Regular sparkle additive added to a fingertip flashpot will give that effect.

The FunkenRings are usually cheap knock offs... however, the ORIGINAL German one that is top quality and design is now available again.
We carry it, as should most other dealers (if they know a good item when they see it)

I got a german one at a convention. It fell apart on me after a couple uses.

Matt, that could nto have been the original funken ring then. The original German one is built like a tank and very durable.
There are a TON of cheaply made knock offs out there.

I Just created a YouTube video on how to fix your flasher funken ring. This is my first truly edited video, but it has a lot of good information. To watch and hear click on the below and turn your volume up.
