Hello everybody,
If this is getting redundant please let me know and I will stop. Anyhow, for those interested, one of the things I have always done while I was deployed has been performing magic shows for the wounded kids we pick up and fly to the hospitals. In Afghanistan I was even able to meet with Robin Williams one-on-one for being "Afghanistan's Patch Adams" it even made CNN! One of the news channels back home ran a segment about me doing magic over here in August, and put a story on their website. Since there was such an overwhelming response on my last post, I thought I would share this story as well. I had posted it about a month ago on a non related thread, but it seems there are a lot more of us who visit this one. It's a little more heart felt than the last one, if you want to read it you can click on the link below. http://www.katu.com/news/55500082.html |

Thank you everyone for taking the time to leave your kind comments, I really appreciate them. As much as I would like to continue to engage the mis-informed individual who has obviously never left the safety of his own home to defend the safety of someone elses, I will refrain. Even though in a nation wide vote last year the Iraqi people had the opportunity to vote on a bill that would put us out of their country by 2010, yet an overwhelming number (over 80%) voted to keep us here. (oddly enough it was more people than we had vote in the presidental election)
