Ok I've read some of the postings here regarding the gaff decks. Just to make sure so I won't end up with something I can't use, Ultra Gaff Deck will only work with Ghost Deck?
I have also read from others that say Army of 52 has most of the gaff cards/tricks in Ultra? I only have a regular Bicycle deck, so which one I should get first? I need a quick decision before the end of this month. Thanks.

Ultra gaff DVD is strictly for the Ultra gaff deck (which is for standard blue and red bikes). The army of 52 dvd covers the Ghost deck and Black tiger deck gaffs, so unless you have either of these two decks, they wouldn't do you any good. It may cover some of the cards in the Blue/Red E gaff decks, but I'm not quite certian on what is all within these decks.

Thanks Demonbrn, but do they have same tricks? I mean, both might have same tricks but different appearance as the Ghost Deck or Black Tiger Deck are different cards than the regular one.

Not at all from what I've seen (Ultragaff compared to the others), ultragaff is purely shock value in what it can produce with specialty printed cards (For instance; There is a card that shows the back of a card being pulled away with an empty battery compartment, you then grab some batteries and give the illusion of putting them in then showing the card now containing batteries).
The other gaff decks contain some specialty printed cards, but also contain a varity of utility cards (double-facers, double backers, etc), thus you can do some classic effects along with newer ones. In my ghost deck, I use more of the utillity cards than the specialty printed cards, they work great with a one trick routine where you're like "Hey check out this deck, now check out this trick!" type deal, but then they're hard to get rid of and do anything else with. It's all a matter of what you want out of it. |

Oh ok, well I guess I would prefer to have the utility cards. Is MacDonald's Aces considered as utility card?
One more question, the gaff deck doesn't come with instruction? So we have to pay for the DVD?

MacDonald's Aces is considered as utility card, I suppose.
I guess you could choose not to buy the Army of 52 DVD though. There are several videos on youtube, performing tricks using the gaff deck. I guess it will not be difficult for you to figure the trick out with the gaff cards at hand... And yes, you will need to pay about $30 for the DVD... |
