Hi,
I recently ordered up some new coin gaffs, my old ones had taken too much wear and tear and I wanted some quality stuff. I purchased a C/S walking liberty, along with walking liberty flipper and shell. Back to the topic at hand, this book was recently recommended to me by a coin magician, and I'm wondering what everybody thinks of it. Also, keep in mind the amount of coin gaffery I have on hand, as I've heard this book requires tons of gaffs. Thanks for your input. -Oz |

Yes, most of the routines in that book requires gaffs. But there are two routines that can be done only with regular coins(and without even extras!).
Although I have not finished to read the book yet, I like it much. Various gaffs are utilized in very good combination with sleights, like Geoff Latta's works. T. Takenaka

I`ve had the book for over a year.
A c/s, a shell and a folder for a coin in bottle will be all you need, although a couple of chop cup type of thing are included in the book. All the routines are reworkings of standard effects but for walk-round. Not too hard but very effective. Recomended. Eddie |

You'll need a sh**l too.
Oz, the book is one of the best coin books I have ever read. I always praise it on here whenever I get the chance. Doug puts a lot of thought into his routines and it shows. Also, his routines are easily re-workable to suit your style, or change areas if you don't like them. out of a 1-10 I give it a 9. Chris |

There is also one routine in the book which uses a Miracle Coin Cup (a chop cup for coins) which is great. He calls it the "After Dinner Trick". If you liked the routine, Doug is releasing a larger booklet on Coin Cup material within the next few months.

This is one of my favorite books that I own. All the material in this book are workers. Everything is great. I don't dislike one routine in the whole book. Even the Chop Cup routine is excellent.
So basicly, STRONGLY recommended.
Check out my new effect "As Good As It Gets" a gimmickles pencil or pen through bill effect. It closely mimmicks the slow motion phase of "Misled." About "As Good AS It Gets" for no gimmicks and everything being borrowed.

I have to agree - I recently picked this up[ and it was well worth the price. I like Doug'd routining and direct approach to effects. I tend to work gaffless (it's a birth defect, I think) but I still very much appreciate the material. His directness and simplicity is inspiring.

The book is great. Lot's of logical effects without all the bull. These are effects that you will actually put to use.

Oz, I have a review of it on my website http://www.coinvanish.com. I like the book very much. I just recently went back and added Doug's "Famous 3 Coin Trick" to my repertoire. His "The Hook Revisisted" is cool too.

Doug is "a worker" who regularly performs for diverse lay audiences, and his tricks are high impact "workers." You likely will not be disappointed.

All I can say is this book is one of the only that I know that has not 1 bad trick in it. ALL of these routines are things you will do if you learn them. His use of sleights is very easy to understand and grasp.
