Does anyone have any cool ideas for the quickest and most visually satisfying unfolding of a bill or similar paper item once it has been extracted from TT? I have made a mental note of where the corners are as I fold the bill to load the TT, and I grab two diagonally opposite corners and pull so it opens out fairly quickly. I wonder if there is anything, not like full-blown origami as such, but a fancy way of folding the paper so it 'springs' open nicely in the hands. Many thanks in advance.
edit: d'oh! I've just realised an improvement can be made with my existing folding method too... I can fold in half and then roll up, starting from the crease in the centre, into a tube. But still, is there anything better? |

I have found that the unfolding itself is enuff of an atticimation for the reveal.
The best way to eliminate fumbling is to do the second fold off-center by a quarter inch. This makes inserting you finger into the fold a no brainer and the unfolding looks natural. Also, you may want to let the spec do the last unfold if you are doing mismade. The reason this adds so much is the fact that when you hand it to them for them to do the last fold; it still looks the same as when they handed it to you. Bob |

Check out Pablo's Bare hand Bill Production, he teaches a flash production of a bill that appears to come out of "thin air". Very nice looking, and you can repeat it up to 6 times!
About 2 years ago, Greg Rostami (at least used to be on the Café) made a production of a bill from a silk available (in demo). The nice part of it was that the bill seemed to be pulled out of the silk already unfolded. It looked very nice. You could search for his post, and maybe its still on his website somewhere.

Anything except rolling the bill and then folding it. LOL

Awwww, I did a bill production for a 4 year old girl at a Halloween party. And a couple of other TT tricks. Her little face was a joy to behold. This shy kid, who wouldn't speak to me formerly, was now following me around imploring me to do it again. Cute!

I use a count, myself. I count while folding the bill:
" ...and I fold the bill- 1, 2, 3, 4." and again while unfolding the bill: " ... the bill was in your site the whole time, yet you'll see it change right before your eyes -1, 2, 3, 4... and Bob's your Uncle! 100$ !" I find the rhythmic pattern of the count is enough to hold their attention and also to add to the dramatic structure of the routine.
