Lots of interesting people here. Just had a great time chatting with the legend Larry Becker.Over 80 and just such a smart and knowledgeble gentleman. I finally got to thank him personally for Sneak Thief.
Look out for Paul Carnazzo a fellow conventioneer who just fried some of us with his highly creative work of pocket/walk around mentalism. Very, very clever, well thought out. I hope he makes some of his work commercially available. Gerry

Very cool!
Dodd, you're then next best thing to being there. BTW, if you talk with Scott, tell him not to get in the car with Paul. |

Sean Taylor and team from Australia did a superb job on discussing how they designed, produced and performed a show involving 4 mentalists. Very insightful and helpful. I particularly liked the sub title of the show which I believe was something like "a journey through the minds of 4 men and a stuffed cat".
Alain Nu's lecture was excellent last night. I've seen him lecture before, but never at this level. It would seem that since comitting himself more to mentalism, he has really begun to evolve as one of the best in this field. His work on book tests is superb (as is his presentation of same). He performed an impromptu book test with two people and two words which was amazingly simple and simply brilliant. Moreover, Alain thinks deeply about our art and likens a good mentalist to that of an "inspirational speaker" ie awakening audiences to the possibilities of just what might be. I've been to 4 Mindventions and this is shaping up to be the best. I can also recommend the bran muffins at Cocos bakery. At my age, bran muffins are important. Gerry

A great attendee show this morning. 2 outstanding performances from the Vancouver crew.
Eric Samuels performed a great prediction piece. Using a candy theme and lots of tongue in cheek humor, he rocked the audience with his original take on the prediction premise. Very creative presentation and very well done. Matthew Johnson "rocked on" and presented a very funny spin on the TOD, performing it to the music of the Village People. The audience was behind him all the way, but he managed to lose them on the freeway. He's one funny dude and a talented performer. Gerry

Hey Sean,
Thanks to you, Richard and Dave for what I myself thought (and have heard from many) was a fascinating panel discussion... your use of video clips to highlight your meaning was wonderful... I too hope that one day we can all see the whole show in Las Vegas... also kudos for your MC work... Danny Archer |

Perhaps the next time in Vegas you could perform your excellent show as: "The Cererbral Thunder from Down Under" ? Great seeing you again. Hopefully you will take the show on the road. Best regards Gerry
