I'm sure we've all seen them... a horrendous glob of icing covered "something" in the center of the dining room table at birthday parties.
Here is a website CakeWrecks.blogspot.com that really celebrates those culinary disasters. Very fun to see how bad a cake can be. |

Some lovely cakes there as well. I particularly liked Oscar the Grouch.
My favourite birthdaqy cake memory was when I was filming a pilot for a comedy sketch show that was never taken up. I went into a cake shop dressed as a clown, and rudely pushed my way to the front of the queue, demanding a cake as I was late for a party. I was handed a beautiful creamy one, which I then smashed into the face of the man behind me in the queue, covering his beautiful suit in cream and jam. Its not as bad as it sounds. The guy had agreed beforehand that something would happen to him in the shop. He just didn't know what. The best thing was the look on the other customer's faces.

Tony, that is a FUNNY gag! I love the premise that the clown is late for a party and cuts in line. Could be in a balloon store, party supply store, costume shop, etc.
There are some wonderful cakes in the CakeWrecks website, that's one of the things I really like about it. I'd love to see the BadMagicPhotos.blogspot.com include some good photos also. |
