Can anyone offer a review of this interesting effect?
http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.php......0&page=1 Bring out a small vinyl case. From the case remove an oversized domino. The domino is made of metal and has small moveable magnetic white dots. Ask the spectator to take the domino in his hands and move the dots to make a standard domino pattern. Explain that you have made a prediction which you hope will come true. Let's say he makes the standard 4 and 2 pattern. Remove a small mirror from the vinyl case and hold it next to the domino so it reflects his selected pattern. "See, my prediction is in the mirror! It's the same as your pattern! Heh, heh. Little joke." Now, you blow them away. Have the spectator turn over the domino. There, engraved in the metal is the very same "4 and 2" pattern!! Your prediction, permanently engraved in the metal, exactly matches his selection!! The domino may be immediately examined!! No gaffs. The spectator has a free choice of domino patterns, yet your prediction is always 100% accurate! This one is really strong!! Comes with the domino, six moveable dots, mirror, vinyl case and complete routine

This sounds very interesting as Andy mentioned. I am curious of the quality. Obviously if magnetic it should be rather strudy and not flimsy...lets see I believe there would be 15 combinations. Almost worth purchasing just to satisfy my curosity.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

I only see 7 possible combinations, but I may be missing something. This does sound like an interesting effect, especially if you present it as the spectator having some sort of psychic abilities.

OK..Guess it depends on how many dots. If it has 12 dots 6 an 6 I believe my 15 number is correct or is it 18??? Six numbers one through six can have 30 combinations but in dominios it would be half.
But it does not say how many dots are there. So not sure who is correct. John (acesover)

"While the spectator is creating the domino tile, the magician takes out a card case containing 4 white cards. Thus reading between the two adds, one can easily conclude that 'Magnet Domino' is PERHAPS based on an age old principle of 3 outcomes predicted thru 3 different predictions - i.e. the first prediction is engraved on the reverse of the domino, the second prediction is written/ printed on one of the four cards, and the third prediction can be . . . you GUESS?!!! (My guess for the third prediction would be . . . written behind the MIRROR.) Just the way I think this effect might be done. I might be totally wrong though!!! If I am right, then the Magnet Domino is nice variation on an old principle.

With 6 movable (I also thought removable) but I now believe this is not the case as it seems you must use all the dots all the time. If you were able to use any number of the dots such as 3 dots the total would be definitely be higher than 3..by that I mean as example 1 an 2, 1 an 3, 1 an 4, 1 an 5 , then procede to 2 and 3 and 2 an 4 etc ..Not sure how to do the math to figure out all the combinations but it is higher than 3 and lower than my original thought as I was thinking of 6 numbers and not 6 dots. Pheww hope you understand what I mean....

What about the the blanks?
I think that makes it 4 combinations with 6 moveable dots. And 16 combinations with movable/removable dots. |
