Whats Up! My names Joe and I am a new member but have been snooping around the discussion board for years. I started magic in first grade and its been my life since, most of my time goes to Magic, Balloons, clowning or walking around on stilts at Margaritaville in Mohegan sun casino...As a pirate(hangs head. que freecreditreport.com music). anywayz, I joined because I am interested in adding an illusion to my school shows I do and had a question I wanted to ask, plus it would be nice to be able to reply to topics instead if just reading them. As far as illusions go, I grew up Wanting to be the guy who gets spiked, or makes the lady float. as a kid, and even now I am a HUGE David Copperfield fan, and have been very fourtunate that he has come to both casinos numerous times over the years. Aside from magic I like to build things. currently my winter project is building a ventriliquist figure from scratch, and doing resarch cause when that income tax check comes I hopefully will be buying or building an illusion.

Welcome Joe.

I wish I had started so young.

I'd like to do an illusion but I don't want to cart it around. Cards are so handy. Good Luck.

Hi and welcome. I hate giving advice when it isn't requested so I will say this is just a suggestion. Whether or not you buy an illusion or not, I suggest that since you have the desire, you should build some sort of illusion - out of any material. It could be cardboard - it doesn't matter. You will get an appreciation for them that you would never have had otherwise. I think you will get a great deal of satisfaction out of it as well. I could be wrong. But I could be right !
Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the welcome Mary and John!

Mary- You are right about cards. no truck required!

John- rotfl! Actually it all started GIVEN a cardboard haunted house another magician had made before I was old enough to use a razor! it was from Mark Wilsons Encyclopedia of magic. I still have it, tho it was old when it was given to me, and that was 10-12 years ago. so it dosnt have much life left. but its still in the basement
