What makes it "all wrong"? It just seems to be a how-to guide to build an effect that he used in a show, and evidently it worked for him...

Ok, if it works for him great. If someone builds something himself, he knows all the ins and outs of it. He can make it work.

As someone who has built blooming flowers and such for over 25 years, trust me there are several things that do not work properly.

Just my opinion.

I don't know anything about building blooming flowers, I didn't even study the plans I posted. I just scanned them enough to realize it was a blooming bouquet type of prop and put the link up here. I guess it would be a good starting point for somebody building their own, and I'm sure that once they played with it improvements would come to mind.

You gotta start somewhere.
