The magazines are reliable and also you can trust a product that recieves great reviews months after its release. Sometimes you gotta take that risk when one person loves something it doesn't mean it is great for everyone. What I don't trust is a lot of people who slam a product before they even practice it.

There are a number of issues that will continue to come to light with a forum like this. My larger concern is exposure and search engines but this isn't the proper place to comment on the subject.
I suggest everyone flag and report anything you feel violates the rules of the Café'. If people are here to troll a friends products, report it. It is easy to determine if they only comment on certian items (but remember we all follow favorite topics). If enough people do this, the issue will be addressed one way or another. I've never heard of anyone banned for reporting questionable posts. If the tools given to us prove to not work, then we have a larger issue and a different problem.

Hey- thanks for the kind words!
A couple of rules I generally follow are: 1) I give more credence to people who use their real names. and, 2) I look back at the poster's "Posts In The Last Thirty Days" to see if we like the same kind of thing. My 2 cents, jamie

I wish the Café could implement that feature where we could rate each others posts with a simple thumbs up or thumbs down. Then when you get to a posting you would see something like "7 out of 7 readers found this posting useful."
That feature makes it very easy to read the good posts and avoid the useless ones. |

If the issue is friends giving an undeserved good review. What would stop the same group of friends from giving each other a thumbs up.Isn't a thumb up a review?
I believe this is like movie reviews. Find several reviewers who ,a majority of the time, you agree with and go with them.I have seen many movies, that I liked, that had bad reviews.I learned you have to pick the reviewer as carefully as the movie.Glenn |

Glenn Watson,
its not that a group pf people complaining or hyping or even harrasing a product sads me. Its the attitude of the people, the regular ones who doesn't keep it. In case of movies. lets say steven spielberg and james cameron say that the others film is bull s..t, (if you don't like both of them... I ll take another example )how would you feel? as a spectator, or movie watchher |

I promise you ,I mean no insult ,but I don't understand this sentence. Do you mean they don't keep the trick? or they change their attitude? What are you saying they don't keep? |
