It´s possible to perform Collard with a Hand Puppet?
I need to know if the “dirt work” can be made with one hand. Thanks! |

Yes, it could be possible when you do your dirty work in that moment you slip into the puppet with the other hand.

Absolutely. You can adapt this to a puppet, other stuffed toys and small live animals.
you may have to tweak the dirty work in some situations, but the concept it able to be applied in most instances. This effect plays well to a broad range. Its an effect I work in to routines often. We have sold a number of Collards and have had people say they get great reactions. We have yet to hear from someone that did not make a part of their act.

I own Collard and have always done it using a dog puppet that looks amazingly real. Great reactions.

I saw John perform this at the last Tabula Mentis, its a great effect and easily adapted to other 'characters'. A puppet would be a nice touch!

Just an idea. I often tell the gal from the audience that the dog in play is a member of my family now, and hence could never part with him, leading up to giving her a "beanie baby" type dog of her own, which she gets to keep, and name for herself.
