Hello fellow restaurant performers,
Just wondering on your own opinions on the effect 'Three ropes and a baby.' I've heard it is a fantastic routine and plays well with all ages, but haven't actually seen it performed personally. Is it very similar to the Professors Nightmare? And also, would any of you recommend peforming it for Restaurant work? your's magically, -Luke- |

It's VERY good, incorporating Prof. Nightmare, ends on/off, continuous loop, etc. etc.
But I wouldn't do it as a table-hop. Too big and too long, IMHO.
Warmest regards

Hi Luke!
You too can see a demo of this at http://www.magicsmith.com in the "demos" section. I just had to buy it after I saw it! After recieving it, I have to say that it is AWESOME!!! It does play well for all ages, and I have heard of some people using it for table hopping, although I have not done that myself. It is approximately 3-4 minutes long if you perform it as quickly as Mr. Sanders, so I suppose it could be adapted to table-hopping if you knew that you wouldn't be interupted. The props (just the three ropes!) all fit in your pocket, so I don't think size is really too much of a problem. Hope this helps.... good luck! |

I love this effect also. You can't go wrong with this one. The ropes are not gimmicked, so you will be learning some great rope sleights. If you've never worked with ropes before then give it the practice it deserves. It looks like real magic. It might be too long for table hopping, but you can save it for when you have a big table and you need something visual that everybody can see.

One of the best things about this, and many other rope routines, is that it can be adapted to fit a set time for your routine. You can easily take out sections to make it shorter, or add effects to make it longer. All in all, a great effect for any occasion.
