I am please looking for a ringbox, which is geared to REMOVING a ring from the box, rather than INTRODUCING one.

I use a Wooden Okito Box to hold a finger ring that I use if no one has one to volunteer. Then I use the box for switch, vanish or coin effects depending on how it plays. You could certainly put a borrowed ring in it "for safe keeping" and switch it out for something else. Since they hold it and inspect it, the box doesn't have that "want is it" question of a regular brass box.

Koran has a simple way in one of his books. No gimmicks. You an also use the old color vision move with a real ring box putting lid on wrong way.

You can look at my Improved Rattlebox at atlantismagic.com and read reviews for it to see if it fills the bill. It is 1/2 the size of other rattleboxes in order to be more consistent in size with the ring, key, or coin that is generally placed inside of these utility devices. In order to size it down the method has been completely overhauled and these do not operate the same as the traditional boxes. Andy Martin bought 2 and has had them in his site at martinsmagic.com for a couple of years under the ambitious name Improved 21st Century Rattlebox. Craig
