Now we have all seen shows where the illusionist does an illusion where he/she disappears from the stage and reappears in the middle of the audience. I know Copperfield and Lance Burton do it. My question to you is have you seen an illusionist disappear from the middle of the audience and reappear on the stage? If you have, who was it and how did they tie it in to the show.
Personally I haven’t seen it happen but I think it would be very cool if somebody does it. What are your thoughts?

Good idea! It would be a little tougher to do than the opposite way, but it could be done.

Yes, David Copperfield does it in an effect called Test Conditions. He has an audience member come up on stage while he goes out into the audience. The stage is completely lit up. Whoopie Goldberg then comes on a TV screen and tells the audience member to examine a very thin platform. She directs him through a bunch of different actions. David then appears on the platform.

The illusion Micheal Leath is referring to was created by Gary Ouellet. He called it Millennium Cabinet. DC has the world-wide rights on it.
BTW: Has anyone seen this illusion on tour? |

I did! It is AWESOME.
People do not believe in what they see. Really cool. Regards |

It is a very powerful illusion, especially when sitting in the front row because you can watch everything even closer.
Unfortunately, the few times I have seen him do it, I don't believe it got the response it deserved. The last two times I have seen him, it wasn't in the program. Does anyone know if it's still in the show? |

That could be very possible. After all, it was presented later in the program. At any rate, I think it's an incredible illusion & I would love to see him do it live again!
