I do a three rope routine which leaves me with "one" (two) pieces of rope which amount to about five feet. I then change the ropes into a dove using an i*******e h*****s. In order to get rid of the rope and for cover, I want to light the ropes on fire and have a moderately sized ball of fire. I have a lot of other fire experience (flash paper, torches, candles, etc.) but I've never really touched on flash rope or string. Which do I use?

Just a tip. Buy cord and deconstruct it. You get 4-5 strings I think from 1 cord so you get more for the $

Flash "Rope" is really not a rope more than a thin cord. Its not much thicker than the kind of cord used to tie up bakery goods. Flash "string" should be called "thread" because its so thin. PowerMagic's suggestion above, regarding buying the flash rope (cord)and de-stranding it is good advice and will be more cost effective.

Where do you guys buy your flash cord? I get mine from Hank Lee. You have to dry the water out as soon as you receive it. I left mine with water and the whole cord vanished within a month.
