What is your favourite effect in this book ? And which do you always perform if it's not the same ?

Card Fan,
The book is full of so many great ideas. most are mainly seeds one has to develop into bigger routines. Some are not practical but given a small twist can be great. I still think this book is one of the best in my collection. |

I agree with Nir Dahan. So much food for thought. Here is one of my many recommendations:
Daisection; page 200 A great routine utilizing the BDV move and a wonderful example of how a deck of cards can find their way logically into a mentalist’s close-up act. Best regards, BlackSalt |

The two I have used the most:
Automanticard: p. 214 (sort of spooky!) No/No: p. 454 (a great opener to warm the crowd up) A great book way under priced IMHO. I think it should be in every mentalist's library. I also believe there is a thread out there somewhere dealing with this question already. Terry

My two favourites from the book are:
"Automanticard" (page 214)* "Backdate" (page 664)** *For "Automanticard" I use NO Brainwave and the assisting spectator KNOWS the card, the lady later freely choses.....(!) ** I do a surrounded version of "Backdate". Any questions? Feel free to ask! TED

Well Mr. Lesley, you know what they say about great minds thinking alike (at least 50% of the time)!
Now, if you would only "send me your thoughts" regarding your reworkings of the two effects. What is your thinking behind your version of Automanticard? Do you feel it plays stronger to the audience; is it easier to pull off, etc? I had not considered Backdate because of the "weakness." If you're talking, I'm listening! Terry I found the previous thread about MM&M that I was thinking of. Check it out. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=15 Terry

How about a new thread, what have you tried based on recommendations in this (and the previous similar) thread?
Automaticard is on my list. Has anybody tried my favorite, "Hallmark"? Regards, Victor |

Insight Straight is a great effect that can be adapted as a presentation of the performer's psychological influence over the participant's choices (which is how I present it).
