Yeah, I'm locking up the cabnets! He is too freakin' smart that dog. My bassett has enough problems figuring out she can eat food in her bowl.

Real life is more dramatic, and ironically funnier than TV. That's why I stopped watching television.
Santa you have a hell of an interesting life episode going on. |

If the pooch had learnt earlier you could have dressed Couch Guy up as a can of dogfood.

The other dogs don't seem to miss him, they do like laying on the couch.

Santa, this is your fault. You have a smart dog that should have been taught to go for the throat of couch guy. Problem solved before it got out of hand. A quick clean up and keep it moving.

To my dogs benefit he did try to bite him a few times. The couch guy would hold his foot out at the dogs when they came by to keep them away, I wish I had video of his interaction with them.

As for how long you have to hold on to couch moron's things I'm not sure about here in Nevada but don't be surprised if you are required by law to keep them for as long as it takes for the owner to come get them. In other words that could be for the rest of your life or his. Some states do have that stipulation you wait till owner picks them up no matter how long.

I asked the sheriff today and he said just put it outside and if a tarp is over it that is good enough....

That's good then. I would just place it all on a maybe not so flat surface in the yard that way rain water or melted snow can get to at least the bottom layers rather well. I'd make sure a sprinkler head was near by as well. But that's just me.

Well...the couch guy picked up three of his plastic bins with clothes in them. Note these bins were packed by him, sealed by him, and not touched by anyone until I carried them out for him. He also picked up his laptop which was in its bag along with the power cord that couch guy said was broken three months ago. He since has called my wife to inform her that my dog, who never has ever eaten clothing, destroyed his clothes and ate his power cord for the laptop! Now it looks like I'm going to get sued by HIM!

Let him. At least then he bears the brunt of having to pay for the filing. He also has to lay out the full dynamics of his case against you, which he can not ammend in court. In other words, he has to show his hand in advance, giving you ample time & opportunity to plan your response.
And never forget the power of the counter-suit! With your witnesses and other evidence I don't see how this guy stands a chance (no pun intended). |

I don't think he will win.

I'm betting he's all talk! Making an actual case would take effort and money which based on past performance he doesn't like to expend either unless it's toward his own debauchery!
I'm still concerned for the little dog more than anyone else! |

He tends to carry through no matter how little sense it makes. You really can't realize how this guy goes crazy when he thinks he has been crossed and seeks revenge.

I have a buddy who's ex wife is like that!
Example: She sues for more child support. As well claims he's never paid her a dime yet she signed an affidavit exactly 1 year prior stating he had never missed a payment and was up to date at that point (he has receipts for every dime he's ever paid)! Now she wants 50K in back support (the guy barely makes that gross per year, they have 1 child and they've been divorced 2 years)! 6 days after he was served with this latest bit of crazy he puts an add on Craigs List advertising Horseshoeing services and she (2 hours later) puts up a RE Horseshoeing post stating that he's a known wife beater, drunk and is abusive to horses (none are true)! Hmmmmmmmmmm.... I want to sue you for more money but I also want to destroy your business so you have none! Add to this she uses her own Email addy as the reply address! His lawyers can't believe how easy this is gonna be and are considering a suit for slander or whichever action is applicable! Yeah Santa, I know the type and simply think there should be a bounty on this type of nut case! |

I know all about stupid lawsuits.
My old lady's ex sued her to try to have his child support reduced. He paid over a grand for a lawyer and she did her own paperwork. When the judge was through the support was raised. I'm proud of my old lady.

Good news! Couch guy called my wife tonight to tell her that he reported an old car on my property for not being registered, which was nice but not a problem. He also let her know his parents will be helping him get an apartment and paying his rent since we have forced him to give us all his money....I know many were worried about his well being.

Okay! The horses are pretty easy to find. If the couch guy crosses the line once more though I shall be destroying his job and family so he may have moved on.
