This looks to be the right place for this post. The are cups and balls all over the place.
Can someone please tell me what the "SBL" refers to in the name of a cups and balls set?
I know the PF and the JES for example, but not the SBL.
Thank you for your help

So, what is PF and Jes?
And where are these initial found.

I am sorry, the PF seems to stand for Paul Fox, the JES seems to stand
for Dr. Jonathan E Schweid.

I got that info from the cups and balls museum website (it is amazingly complete)

SBL relates to orginal designs from the old RNT2...

Not really certain what it stands for, but it is from the old RNT2.

Hope this helps a little.

I think there were some initials related to someone in particular.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

When I purchased the rights to the RNT and RNT2 brand, the SBL "name" was not included. From what I understand, it was a personal name for the previous owners and at their request I discontinued using it.

The products are the same, but the name no longer includes the initials SBL.

And yes, PF is the monogram of Paul Fox, JES is the initials of Dr. Jonathan E. Schweid (the designer of the JES Original cups), and JS are the initials of Jim Sisti (the designer of the Sisti Working Professional's Cup).

You can e-mail Bill Palmer at curator@cupsandballsmuseum.com to request those credentials.

Yes - email Bill - he was great at getting back with me quickly.

DDecae - thanks for the update. I guess you are the new RNT2 guy (person).
The website looks very nice, good work.

Regarding obtaining a username and a password for the cups and balls museum site, the instructions are right there on the index page. In fact, you really don't have to do anything but click on the link where it says:
Quote:
To apply for a password, send e-mail to curator@cupsandballsmuseum.com

and put something in the resulting body of the e-mail message.

This presumes that you have a regular e-mail program, such as Outlook or the equivalent. If you don't, simply cut and paste the e-mail address into your normal e-mail program.

It's not rocket science.

Actually, I meant copy and paste. Copy the e-mail address with control C, and paste it into your e-mail program with control V (assuming you use Windows).

So, thanks for the answers.

Things are going down hill now... that a very famous magician
like Pete is making funnies and making magic frogs appear.

Kind of nice to be rubbing elbows with magic "royalty" (and their frogs). Smile

I love it when a thread goes soap opera.
You know why don't act naive.
