What are some of the problems associated with having a dog part of you regular act.
For example, I can (and have) gotten away with sneaking a rabbit and doves into a hotel, but can you sneak a dog in a hotel? FYI, I'm thinking of a small, cute dog.

Arnomagie,
I’ve seen a few posts of yours over the past couple of years but I just realized who you are. I started a post about your act in the ‘Going for Gold’ section about 2 years ago. It is titled: “The best bird act I have ever seen” http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=48 Either you did not see it or you are being too modest to comment on it. At any rate, I’m glad you’re here at the Café. Now, what will it take to get you to perform in the United States?

Senior Rai could tell you volumes on traveling with dogs. But he lived in his own motorhome so it was not such an issue.
I remember once of making the mistake of taking the bird into the hotel with me. They would not let me check in with a "pet". The next hotel I checked in. Then went out body loaded the bird and went back into the room. He was quite happy in the dresser drawer overnight. Richard

I Ken
Thanks for you nice comments. Unfortunately, performing in the US for me is quite impossible, with the restrictions to travel with the big birds. Now I'm in Rome for two weeks performing in a great festival : SUPERMAGIC (www.supermagic.it). |

We have been using dogs in our show for years. We use Samoyeds, Miniature American Eskimos and a Pomeranian. Usually we travel with six dogs. Many hotels are now dog friendly. There usually is a limit as to how many dogs you may have. When we make reservations we tell them we are magic act with six dogs and we are performing near by. They always make accommodations. There are some hotels that charge you per dog. Anywhere from $25 to a $100 per dog. Hope this helps.
