Hey guys,
Maybe you can help me brainstorm here. Think along the line's of Copperfield's standard spirit cabinet routine, but how he made it to climactic with the illusion ending. What would be some alternative large-illusion endings for a routine of this type? Ideally, it would be a very organic style of illusion, one that could be performed with a non-stooge volunteer. Thanks in advance!

Only post in the first two pages without a reply! I think I'm all set, so if anyone is still pondering this, you can let it go.
Thanks for thinking about it with me.

Im not sure id go with the large illusion ending myself. I think it takes away from what youve done in the spirit cabinet itself. If you wanted a strong kicker, my thinking is using a woman as the volunteer and not a stooge. During the routine, have something of significance vanish somewhere in the middle of the cabinet routine. Then have it come back to be the final kicker...when the woman returns to her seat, the vanished item is found in her purse! Maybe a letter written from the ghost. Something she can keep, people will ask to see after the show, and she can take home for a souvenir.
Point being is audience members get the additional kick that maybe the ghost came out around them and put it in her purse. that's the idea you are trying to sell anyway. |
