Hello all,
I recently finished (almost... still looking for a chair to sit in while reading) my magic office at home and posted pics of it for fellow magi to see. I figured this might be of interest since back in September of last year when I was searching the internet for images of a magic-themed room, I turned up exactly NOTHING! Could possibly be a first for the infamous world wide web? ;-) Anyway, follow this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thefritzpics/ and enjoy! |

Thanks guys. I'm from the midwest as are both of you. Lots of cold days to spend indoors. I know where I like to be... when I get the time to do it! Family comes first, of course.

Fritz, where did you purchase the car headliner?

Edh,
I bought it at Joanne etc. here in Columbus, Ohio. I don't think you'll have a problem finding it at a normal fabric store, but I could be wrong. They had plenty of it when I was there. |

Hancock fabrics also sells card headliner.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Good luck on the search, edh. I love that feeling of going on a search for pieces of something I'm about to make. It's so much fun.

This has inspired me to do the same. I love the idea mentioned in the other thread about a bookshelf secret "passage" for a closet.

I see the book(s) and candle, where's the bell? I certainly hope you haven't damaged Tommy Wonder's 2 volume set "shelving" them like that... Now you need a small 1/2 table like in the close-up room at the Castle. A couple of chairs, and you're the host with the most!

Getting better all the time. I know you're enjoying it.
...Your professional woodworking and "tender" loving care in the products you make, make the wait worthwhile. Thanks for all you do...

Wizard of Hearts,
No worries, as the books are completely unharmed and can be removed at any time. I would never destroy the Books of Wonder... they are among the favorites in my collection. BTW, I'm always thinking of/looking for new little things to add to the room. I really need to find a reading chair to go under the Kellar poster and a small table to place a light on. I'm sure I'll do something with that as well... probably not the black art floating lamp, but something. |

Hey Fritz, I just found this post it’s been dormant for over 10 years.... every one had such good things to say I’d love to see the pictures you had posted (the link is no longer showing the pics) did you ever get the chair for reading? Also maybe updated photos so we can see how it’s evolved?
Magic is all around us we just have to be willing to see it.
