I'm stuck trying to remember the card-launch/ spin/ thing. Its one handed and the thumb does the work...but I can't get something about it right... Is there a video. I think McBride teaches it somewhere

I believe you are talking about the Audley Walsh Long Distance Spinner. Just go to Youtube were some 12 year old kid will certainly have a video and at least you can figure the rest out from there. It is also in Tarbell, Cards as Weapons, and as you said, the McBride video among other places.
