Hi Doc--I know you put this thread here for Entity's seance book, which I have and it is *really* terrific and I will comment on it later, but I have to agree it is great to see you back here. Hope we keep seeing you around some!

Bringing this back to Entity's Twenty Tips... This is a very helpful E-Book with many ideas I have not seen in print before. How to get a candle to extinguish itself has the easiest method that I have seen. Other great ideas as well--liked self-popping balloons.

Matthew, and everyone else, Entity's ebook is something not to miss! It contains far more useful information than I expected. Thirty-six pages of things and ideas you will use, and things that are so cleverly implemented is what you will have in your hands. Electronic ideas? Got 'em. Simple ideas with things like stickers? Got 'em. Odors, illumination, scary touches in the dark, sounds, and other assaults on the sitters' senses? Got 'em. Ghostly moving things? Got 'em.
You'll even find scary cell phones, of all things! I couldn't believe the amount of real, useful ideas that Entity includes. These aren't pipe dreams, either; they are ideas you will use and adapt to your own performances. I appreciate Entity's philosophy regarding seances, and he has some enlightening things to say about one's approach to seance performance. All told, if you do seances, or you are planning to do seances, or even if you think you might do so some day, you owe it to yourself to get this ebook. You won't regret it! Tashi delek, Bill

This is a book of good practical ideas for the experienced seance performer. I knew about the balloon stunt but never thought about using it in a seance context. So many missed opportunities. ShadowFax is another easy to pull off idea. The scents idea is so much less bulky than using a plastic film cannister. I also enjoyed the psychological touches to Tony Andruzzi's Coffin Nail.

Larry White created Balloon Pop, and shared the method in MUM. IS this method different? Just curious.

Dunno. What's Larry's method? Is his 'balloon pop' used in a seance context?
Thanks to all here in "Spooky" for your support of 20 Tips for Seance Workers. I haven't spent a lot of time in here, and I appreciate your orders and very nice comments, both here, in Penny, and privately through pms and emails. Cheers, - entity

Entity, Larry was still refining the solution blend to allow a more exact timing of the pop. Unfortunately he died before he had it perfected. But to answer your question, yes it was essentially the same as yours, and no it was not used in a seance setting. Does using an effect in a seance setting what makes it different from published methods created by someone else? Or had you rceived permission, or was it an instance of independent re invention?
We have all done that from time to time. Kotah |

The method I describe in 20 Tips for Seance Workers was something that I came up with more than 15 years ago for seance presentations. I haven't seen Larry White's published method as I don't read MUM.
Thanks for the information, though. In future editions I'll be sure to mention Larry's experiments with "Balloon Pop" and his publication in MUM. Was that before or after 1995? I believe that I am the first to suggest this idea for seance use. - entity

Entity, that seems more than fair enough to me.
I am glad to see you responded in such a civil manner. Continued success to you. Kotah |
