This is a very nice video of one of my favorite people, Richard Hatch, doing the classic.

Cool,
A couple of moves I was not familiar with.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

I've known Richard's routine for years, know every single move and I can watch it over and over again without getting tired of it. So many tiny little touches and ideas...
I just love it and the performance which I thought to be perfect kept improving... Congratulations Richard.

Wow, that was far out! Best of all no "PATTER", but he made the coolest sounds with the Wands tapping the cups and etc, etc...
I gonna watch this one again and again .... At first when I saw the name Richard Hatch I was thinking about that guy from Survivor that's always getting into trouble with the law. |

Thanks for the kind comments. Alas, the Neil See ball vanish (which Neil felt was just the Benson Sponge vanish from Roy Benson's bowl routine. He was a bit embarrassed that Frank Garcia named it for him in one of his books) does not translate well to film. The visual retention aspect of the vanish does not survive. It is really convincing "in person". Is that true of other retention vanishes?
I had also hoped the filmmaker might "colorize" the final loads, as in black and white they simply look like white blobs. They are actually small oranges.

That's a very elegant routine and beautifully performed - I loved it!

Beautiful routine Richard. I really enjoyed the other videos as well. Does anyone know who did the routine with the canes?

Tabster, that video was awesome! Thank you for putting that one up!
Wow, I think the guy's read a magic book or two. That was awesome. Just awesome. Richard Hatch is one of the greatest forces in magic. If you're not a SAM kinda guy, you might have missed this. http://www.magicbookshop.com/richardhatc......2007.pdf It's a great article about one of magic's true polymaths. Well worth reading. KG |

One of the real pleasures of living in Houston is having rapid access to Richard Hatch. I see him a couple of times a month. I am privileged to call him a friend. That's not a term I bandy about.

Thanks Pete. I think the only video I've seen of Scott was many years ago from a TV special at the Castle that aired on Nickelodeon, (I think.)
