Hey,
I'm trying to find a coin appropriate to my hands for doing front finger holds with, and it seems I need a coin about 34/36 mm in diameter. A standard silver half dollar is about 30mm. Any ideas on where I can get coins like this that aren't too expensive? |

This is a fantastic resource that another member of the Café put together.
http://www.themagicianscoin.com/largecoins I can't see any that are 34mm but check out the medium section too and you will see the diameter of many coins. |

Loren Wade on this forum has compiled a list of coin specs:
http://www.themagicianscoin.com as well as just simply googling for each coin. try not to buy from ebay. any non silver coin or clad should be sold close to face value. Go to the bank first to see if any Kennedy half dollars are sitting around. live in a city - coin shop, rural area - online, no choice but scrutinize the vendor. Good Luck for reference standard quarter = 24.26mm Ike dollar = 38.1 peace dollar = 38.1mm morgan dollar = 38.1mm Silver eagle = 40.6 |
