Does anyone here use one of these or has tried to in the past? In case you don't know what I mean, it is basically a strong, square-edged suitcase (a trunk?) which you open, stand on its end and place a flat top on it. I've seen one somewhere which Cellini used (on one of his DVDs?)
It seems a good idea to me. Everything packs into one neat package (in the suitcase) for travel and the 'table' contains all the props, plus food, water, spares, whatever. But I never see this kind of table mentioned. Is there a reason? Am I missing something? Genghis |

I would think because a tabel of this manner is going to be heavy and bulky it may not be ideal. yes everything fits into a nice package... however most of the weight you atre dragging around is associated to your case and not your props.. so this is why I would sway away from this style... Allthough I have thought of using somthing like this.

That is a homemade thing that Cellini had made especially for him. There is a rope handle to pull it & wheels to roll it to the gig. I've often wondered who he hired to make his stuff.

I worked out of one of these the first year that I worked at the Texas Renaissance Festival.
I made it myself. It looked pretty neat. It had shelves and everything inside it. It was a pain in the keester to lug around. Almost ANYTHING is better.
