Prototype,
That looked very nice, I like the dollar production at the end. I've messed with that myself, great minds think alike...lol I think having your face in the shot will help with some misdirection. I liked how you got into position for the French drop, I feel you need to go into Ascanio's type of misdirection called "in-transit", for the vanish and reproduction. I go over it in my One Coin 2.0 Download http://vinnymarini.com/download/onecoin2.html If your interested let me know. Tim Keep up the great work !!!! Tim

I like. Very well done. I see a lot of Ponta The Smith influence there. And your sense of changing things to other things, reminds me a bit of what can creatively happen with the Sylvester Pitch. You got a lot going on there but with great flow to it. Nice, good work pro.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it. Each of your opinions really mean a lot to me; I envy all the work you two have done and your class.

Each vanish and production looks really great and well handled. Quite mysterious even to a magician, which is always nice.
I'd say you need to generally slow down some, and not go at full speed throughout the whole routine. There are "traveling" areas where I think it's fine to go all out, but there are other, "key" moments...for instance, during the times of productions and vanishes where cutting your speed by half or more will heighten the impact of the "magical moments" by a tenfold or more. Let them see and appreciate the magical moments. Things come and go so quickly here, that an audience will be as much confused as mystified. They cant keep up. In other words, I think your pacing is too much the same speed throughout, no matter what you are doing. Vary it, to enhance the enchanted moments with pauses for punctuation by double or triple beating moments to the fast music. Just my two cents, of course!

Nice. A little flash at the retention, and a tad too much pullin' up the sleeves, but very nice all the same!

I concur with all the positive remarks... very smooth! I saw you said you were tired of the jumbo coin end, good twist.

Looked really nice!
Here's an idea I had while watching, just an added touch actually. If you was wearing a hat,(say a derby, if you were in character), or perhaps a container (from an earlier routine, miser's dream). Once you produce the bill, you could remove the hat (or whatever) drop the bill inside, tip the hat and walk off. Best, Joe

I like the ending. Dan Watkins has a flash bill fold that would work great for this, and make the unfolding of the bill much better. It's on Coin Man Walking.
As for the sleights- they would look better if there wasn't a "freeze" with each one. Like the french drop- you do the take, and your dirty hand freezes in space for a second. It's not natural, and forces the viewer to watch BOTH hands (and you only want them watching the one that should have the coin). Hope that made sense. Scott. |

Thanks guys so much for the advice, it really helps. I'll need to walk through the routine slowly and re-think a few things, but I'm glad it's been well received.

Very well done! Personally I thought the tempo was good - a little fast but if it were any slower I'd have been picking up the sleights along the way. Your tempo made it difficult for me to pick up anything!
Thanks! Jim |

Very nice work.
I would agree with Hare, though. You need to slow down a little. It was hard to keep up. I think a small pause between each sleight would break it up slightly for the non-magician and enhance the routine's appearance. I also agree that your face needs to be in the frame. After all, you are performing the magic and we need to see you. That's in addition to the help in misdirection it will give you. Some good work there, though. Thanks for posting. Mark |
